The concrete ore bins at the Timber Butte mill are the only surviving structure of the many copper and zinc concentrators that once operated in Butte in the first half of the twentieth century. Remains of the foundations for the several levels of the mill survive on the north slope of Timber Butte (on the left side of this image).
