The NP offered this engine to the city of Butte, with the stipulation that the city was responsible for moving the engine from NP tracks to its display location by the Civic Center. The Junior Chamber of Commerce (Jaycees) and many volunteers made the move, and it was formally dedicated on the 4th of July in 1958. | Source: Butte-Silver Bow Public ArchivesDownload Original File
