Chambers Block, 220-224 N. Main

The Chambers Block is one of the older buildings in Uptown Butte, dating to the early 1880s, when it was built by Robert C. Chambers to house Marcus Daly’s bank, Hoge, Brownlee & Company. Sometime after the 1950s, the upper floor of the façade and the north side of the building were stuccoed. Remarkably, the original architrave over the storefront, the original lintels and sills of the windows, and the original cornice at the top of the façade all appear to be intact. | Source: Fred Quivik, July 2025
