Patrick Largey had a large mansion (no longer extant) at the northwest corner of Broadway and Washington. In 1898, his estate built three apartments (rowhouses) on the lots west of the Largey mansion and often rented the apartments to prominent people who needed housing until they built their own houses. Con Kelley lived in 407 W. Broadway from about 1901 until he moved into his new house at 829 W. Park. Another prominent ACM official who lived here was J.R. Hobbins, who lived in 407 when he was named assistant to Con Kelley in 1922 and until he bought the Orton residence at 1039 W. Broadway. | Source: Fred Quivik, July 2025Download Original File
