Tuttle Block in Its Original Two-Story Configuration

The storefront of the Tuttle Block first housed the hardware store of the Tuttle Manufacturing Company in Anaconda. When ACM acquired that company and made its Anaconda operation the Foundry Department of ACM, it changed the store in the Tuttle Block to ACM Hardware and Mining Supply store. The second floor housed offices, some used by ACM and some rented to others. Along the top of the building, note the pediment at the center of the front parapet and the engaged pilasters that appear to support the pediment. See the photo of the Chambers Block site to see how the Tuttle Block looked shortly after ACM added the third floor. | Source: World Museum of Mining
